Executive Board member - Education Sector, SEIU-West
Brother Chris is a husband to a wonderful woman, a father of three, a labour activist, education sector worker, and Child of the Scoop. Having spent the past eight years dedicated to bridging the, sometimes nebulous, gap between community activism and labour activism, he’s become focused on helping others navigate through the often daunting barriers which have been part of the structure, in many large working-class organizations. Growing up between two worlds and building upon the foundation of those two colliding worlds, Chris has sought to foster a deeper understanding of obstacles facing not only Indigenous co-workers, but also their students, clients, patients, and the communities served by Organized Labour. Chris’s work with SEIU-West has helped build bridges that are becoming the new, stronger foundation upon which our communities will grow and thrive together.
