Judy Pelly
Residential School Survivor , Saskatoon Survivors' Circle
Judy Pelly is Anishinaabe-Saulteaux and was born and raised in Cote First Nation. A Residential School Survivor, Judy is also a mother to three sons and Kohkum to five grandchildren.
An alumna of the University of Saskatchewan, Judy spent 15 years as an Indigenous Education Manager for Alberta Learning. She later returned to Saskatoon where she worked in various capacities with several Federation of Sovereign Indigenous Nations (FSIN) institutes. In 2015, and after 21 years of service, Judy retired from the Saskatchewan Indian Institute of Technologies as the Dean of Community and Health Studies.
She is also a Cultural Advisor for the Saskatchewan Health Authority’s Mental Health and Addictions Services Adult Outreach.
